Joined by his son Chad, head of ranch security Charlie Snider, world-renowned geologist Eric Drummond, and investigator Jamie Dube - Duane becomes hellbent on extracting the box, believing it contains the fabled treasure of the Aztecs.
But Duane and his team learn soon enough that they are not alone in their pursuit of the sunken treasure. Military helicopters, intruders, and a murder investigation create more suspicions as to what the box may truly hold.
