3 Reasons Why Legends of the Wild Will be Legendary!

By: Monique Millet

It's "lights! camera! action!" but in the wild!

March 26, 2020

Lifelong friends and wilderness experts Damian Duffy and Matt Hoffmann are taking on extraordinary mysteries of the natural world in the debut of Discovery's new series, Legends of the Wild, premiering Wednesday, April 1st at 10 pm.

What makes this show so legendary? A lot more than you realize. Here are three reasons.

1. Damian and Matt are expert wildlife adventurers

Damian Duffy is a former Australian army paratrooper and certified wilderness guide with 20 years of experience. While Matt Hoffmann is a tech master, professional wildlife photographer and storm chaser. They are two adventurers who can handle themselves in any dangerous situation.

2. They aren't afraid to get their hands dirty!

Whether that's jumping into the river to chase down a croc or climbing trees in Ecuador in search of an airborne predator, these adventurers are braving the wild for answers to these hair-raising mysteries.

In the series premiere, Duffy and Hoffmann head to Brazil to investigate why Brazilian ranchers are being found dead, apparently gored by unidentified creatures. Could the culprit be more common animal suspects like jaguars or caimans, or is there something out there no one could have predicted?

3. Even though they are facing dangerous situations, they make time to have fun!

Damian and Matt can be seen navigating rivers and forests to track bloodthirsty predators and get up close with a natural-born killer before it claims its next victim. And while this requires a lot of preparation and awareness... it doesn't mean you can have fun every once in a while.
