Maverick mining legend Tony Beets is a larger-than-life Dutchman who runs one of the biggest operations in the Klondike.

From his humble origins, starting out as a machine operator, Tony has now become one of the biggest miners in the Klondike.

Kevin is the eldest of the Beets kids and is taking a hands on approach to running the mechanical side of the camp this year. He is often seen running around the claim having to fix machines and ‘put out fires’.

Mike is the second youngest in the family and leading from the front by taking on the responsibility of managing team Beets' large crew of truck operaters and driving one of the dozers. If something on the mine needs shifting Mike is the one to do it - whether it be in a dozer, Oshkosh or a 40tn crane.

The youngest of the Beets family Monica moved from being an extremely skilled operator to the wash room on the Beets claim. Her daughter Jasmine can often be spotted by her side.
