Gas Monkey Garage's Baddest Builds
It takes a village to rebuild a sweet ride. 🤘
Under tight deadlines and challenging obstacles, here's a look at some of the best builds accomplished on 'Fast N' Loud' by the Gas Monkey Garage crew!
Hot Wheels Gold Corvette
A shimmering side view of the 1968 Gold Corvette atop a GMG platform. This is the 1968 Chevrolet Corvette Hot Wheels commissioned build by Gas Monkey Garage.
Bullitt Car - Ford Mustang
Richard Rawlings and the Gas Monkey Garage crew attempted to recreate the iconic chase scene from the 1968 movie “Bullitt,” where Steve McQueen’s ’68 Mustang Fastback was chased through the streets of San Francisco. Here's a look at the Bullitt car they recreated.
Hell Scout
This 1979 International Scout II was re-born as a 700+hp tire shredding Hell Scout. The finished ’79 Scout is sure to scout out big money.
Ford Falcon
The finished 1963 Falcon on the racetrack. It's powered by a naturally aspirated 363 ci. V8 with a Super T-10 4-speed transmission that "prefers 100 octane" but will run on 93 octane if need be.
Krew Kut Dually
The Gas Monkey Garage revived “Krew Kut”, an iconic truck from the 90's. Originally a 1992 Chevy Crew Cab Dually Roadster, this dually was destined for more than a stock life.
Ford Coupe
The Gas Monkeys reveal the new, custom '34 Ford Coupe. This car has all the right pieces and is crowned with a Hilborn 2-Port Injector.
Chevy 210
The 55 Chevy is pictured here ready to go for auction, and eventually sold for $55,000 at Barrett Jackson. It has a 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed transmission out of an old Corvette. The suspension got a complete overhaul, upgrading to fully adjustable coilovers and a 5-link rear axle setup.
Hi-Po Hauler
Richard introduces the audience to the Hi-Po Hauler. Mounting a 700-hp engine in the back, this is one badass build. Taking a '63 Ford Econoline, Gas Monkey Garage wanted to create an "outrageous homage to the exhibition dragsters from the '60s."
Pontiac Trans Am KITT
The restored 1985 Pontiac Trans Am KITT Car glows above an electrifying red light.
The Gas Monkeys tracked down a Knight Rider KITT Car replica (a 1985 Pontiac Trans Am). They needed to move fast to finish the project before the deadline. Rawlings was challenged to recreate the famous “Knight Rider” Trans Am for his friends 40th birthday, and that includes bringing along the HOFF himself, or Rawlings would have had to give his friend KITT for free.
Chevy Nomad
Dale Earnhart Jr. sits in the driver's seat of the finished 56 Chevy Nomad. Dale Earnhardt Jr. wanted the Gas Monkey crew to build him a 1956 Chevy Nomad and gave them a 10 day schedule, and in the end they delivered this rad build. The paint is a custom color, Diet Mountain Dew Green, with silver two-tone to match the NASCAR driver’s team colors.
Woodill Wildfire
A nice shot of the '53 Woodill Wildfire. The crew at Gas Money Garage had to be sure to handle this vehicle with care. It was the first car to receive a full fiberglass body that was very flammable.
Frankenstein Ford
The restored '68 Ford F-100. Besides a great paint job, the old Ford features a Ford Racing 5.0 Aluminator crate engine and a Roush Performance supercharger to aid in extra speed and power!
