Tombstone v. End Game
We didn't wait long for the first upset of the season when End Game knocked out Tombstone in less than 60 seconds. End Game finished the regular season 2-1 to secure the 6th overall seed in the 2020 World Championship tournament.
Fusion v. MadCatter
Don't let the colors and beautiful art fool you - MadCatter is totally crazy! The veteran bot surprised everyone when it went undefeated in the regular season, securing the 12th overall seed in the 2020 World Championship tournament.
Black Dragon v. Kraken
The bot from Brazil made churrasco out of Kraken to win its first match, ending the season with a 2-1 overall record. As a result, Black Dragon enters the 2020 World Championship tournament with the 5th overall seed.
Beta v. Rotator
After a four-year absense, Beta went undefeated in its 2020 return to BattleBots. The British bot finished the regular season 3-0 to secure the 13th overall seed in the 2020 World Championship tournament.
Jackpot v. SubZero
New bot Jackpot captured our hearts, making a cinderella run in its rookie campaign. Not only was the bot made for $4,000 (a paltry number considering other bots spend that much on batteries alone), it defied the odds by beating seasoned competitors like Lock-Jaw to earn a 3-0 regular season record and the 11th seed in the 2020 World Championship tournament.
Hydra v. HUGE
In what was easily the most controversial match of the 2020 season, Hydra outfitted itself with a corral bar to beat HUGE without making a single hit. Jake Ewert's bot went 3-0 for the regular season and earned the first overall seed in the 2020 World Championship tournament.
Valkyrie v. Rotator
Sparks flew when Valkyrie and Rotator faced off in the regular season, with the former coming out with the W. Valkyrie finished the regular season 2-1 and earned the 9th overall seed in the 2020 World Championship tournament. Rotator finished its season 1-2, and squeezes into the tournament with the 22nd overall seed.
Ghost Raptor v. Shatter!
Shatter!'s sophomore season was successful, finishing the regular season with a 2-1 record and the 19th overall seed in the Round of 32.
Mammoth v. HyperShock
HyperShock earned its only win this season over Mammoth, securing the 32nd and last seed in the World Championship tournament. Mammoth went 3-1 in the season, earning the 30th seed.
Witch Doctor v. SlamMow!
After earning runner up honors in the 2019 BattleBots World Championship, Witch Doctor struggled with a 0–2 start, before earning its first win over SlamMow!. With a 1–2 overall regular season record, Witch Doctor advanced to the Round of 32 with the 23rd seed. SlamMow! ended its regular season 2–1 and goes into the final tournament with 28th overall seed.
