EAST COAST BLIMP: The originating city is Nashville with flyovers across Atlanta, Ocean City, MD, The Jersey Shore, Long Island and Charlotte*
WEST COAST BLIMP: The originating city is San Francisco with flyovers across Los Angeles, Portland, San Jose, Seattle and San Diego*

It takes a team to create the iconic Shark Week blimps.
The West Coast blimp is 179 ft long and 56 ft tall. The East Coast blimp is 128 ft long and 44 ft tall.
The Shark Week blimps can travel at speeds up to 53 miles per hour, and cover up to 300 miles a day.
The East Coast blimp has two 90-horsepower engines and 68,000 cubic feet of helium. The West Coast blimp has two 180-horsepower engines and 171,000 cubic feet of helium.
This is the first year a Shark Week blimp will fly over the West Coast.
