Vicky Vásquez is a marine biologist specializing in deep sea shark ecology who also teaches marine science. She has explored the marine ecosystems of Tokyo Bay in Japan, Costa Rica’s Cocos Island, and Mossel Bay in South Africa to name a few. Highlights from Vicky’s research include the discovery of the Ninja Lanternshark (Etmopterus benchleyi) and the first ever tagging expedition for Goblin Sharks (Mitsukurina owstoni).
