Sydney, Australia
Located on the east coast of Australia in the state of New South Wales, Sydney is the most populated city in all of Oceania.
Sydney Harbor Bridge
The Sydney Harbor Bridge is an iconic heritage landmark in Sydney. The bridge which takes cars, trains, pedestrians, and cycle traffic from Sydney's business district to the North Shore is a tourist attraction in itself. The most daring visitors can walk over the top of the bridge, looking out over the incredible harbor.
Bondi Beach
Bondi Beach is the most well known beach in Sydney. On one side, the surf is gentle and safe for swimmers. The other side is even a surfer's challenge, with a famous riptide that can be hard to master.
Sydney Opera House
Maybe the most iconic landmark in Sydney, the opera house took over 10 years from ground breaking in 1959 to opening in 1973. Designed in the expressionist style of architecture by Jørn Utzon, the Sydney Opera House named a World Heritage Site in 2007.
St. Mary's Cathedral
Situated on Sydney's Hyde Park, St. Mary's Cathedral was built in the Gothic Revival style in 1800s.
Balmoral Beach
Balmoral Beach is harborside, which means it is sheltered from waves and winds. Surrounded by a heritage site, The Bathers' Pavilionis which is now a restaurant and cafe built in 1920s.
Royal Botanic Gardens
The Royal Botanic Garden was established in 1816, and it is the oldest botanic garden and scientific institution in Australia.
