Major and Champ Biden Get Ready for the InDOGuration
Ahead of the Presidential Inauguration on January 20, the people at the Delaware Humane Association are having a celebration of their own. Join the InDOGuration festivities on January 17 to celebrate the return of first dogs to the White House. Major and Champ Biden can't wait!
On January 20, Champ and Major Biden get to move into their new home at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Their mom and dad, President-Elect Joe Biden and Dr. Jill Biden will be there too, but there is big excitement surrounding the re-introduction of pets to the White House.
Meet Champ and Major: The Pets of the New First Family
Major and Champ Biden will bring the tradition of Presidential pets back to the White House after a four-year break. Before 2017, every single first family for over 100 years had an animal member of their family.
The Biden family brings with them not one, but two incredible German Shepherds when they move into the White House. Champ has been with the Bidens for over a decade and was joined by rescue pup, Major in 2018.
Major was rescued with the help of the Delaware Humane Association (DHA) and will be the first shelter dog to be called "First Dog." To get ready for this momentous occasion the DHA is holding an Indoguration Party on January 17! Join this virtual party for dogs by donating to the DHA to help support dog's like Major who are looking for their fur-ever homes.
This will be a party for humans and dogs alike, meet adoptable pets and celebrate the canine American dream. Snag your spot for the Indoguration today! January 17 at 3p ET is for the dogs!
