Jim Belushi Opens Cannabis Farm to Discovery Audiences in New Show
Actor and comedian Jim Belushi embarks on new career as legal cannabis farmer in GROWING BELUSHI, premiering Wednesday, August 19 at 10P ET on Discovery.
Actor and comedian Jim Belushi is adding a new skill set to his already impressive resume – legal cannabis farmer.
In the upcoming Discovery series GROWING BELUSHI, viewers will get unprecedented access to Belushi’s marijuana farm in southern Oregon, as he builds a cannabis business from the ground up.
GROWING BELUSHI will premiere Wednesday, August 19 at 10P ET.
The new venture hits close to home for Belushi, who is an advocate for the positive medical benefits of cannabis, such as pain management.
“This is much more than a business for me. I’ve seen the positive impact that cannabis has had in treating people from around the world,” said Belushi. “Everything grows in Growing Belushi. The Cannabis, the business, the family. And especially me. We almost called it Growing Pains!”

What began in 2015 as a meager 48-plant crop, Jim’s farm today encompasses a sprawling and spiritual 93 acres along the Rogue River in southern Oregon. The farm offers a range of cannabis brands from Belushi’s Secret Stash (with Jim's favorite strain Cherry Pie) to Captain Jack’s Gulzar Afghanica (a rare strain from the Hindu Kush region that became known in the ‘70s as “the smell of SNL.”)
Belushi isn’t taking this venture on alone. He will be aided along the way by his team of farmers. Audiences can also expect to see some familiar faces drop-in, including Belushi’s close friend and fellow actor/comedian, Dan Aykroyd.
